Lucile. By Owen Meredith. Author of “The Wanderer,” &c. Boston: Ticknor & Fields. 1860. –“Lucile” indicates no little talent, and ends far better than it begins; but on the whole it is not much to our liking. The best portions of it are the descriptions of nature; the men and women, even after they have been reformed, as they greatly needed to be, are not especially interesting. Owen Meredith is capable of things nobler, if less ambition. E.
