Verso titlepage: Argyle Press, Printing & Bookbinding, 24-26 Wooster St. Dark green cloth stamped black, gold around "Lucile" on spine is about 22mm wide and incorporates small leaves.. Poor quality paper. S&EH.

Nd, 134-136 Grand Street. 120x190mm, 334p. Titlepage says "Illustrated" but none present. Dedication and apologetic preface. "Arlington Edition" on cover and spine. Rose cloth stamped black. Ad for Argyle Press on final leaf. S&EH: inscribed December 25, 1894.

Advertisement at rear for the Argyle Press, Printers and Binders 265-267 Cherry St. and 520-522 Water St. S&EH: Signature dated January 12, 1894; BAP Hu3: laid in at p112-113 a strip of contact photos of young woman, with stamp of George M. Jameson, Photographer, Culpepper, VA.
