Note that the paper finishing on the two boards is identical (and consequently clearly printed paper).

The gold rolls on the edges are also identical (and not very convicing); they continue over the boards and turn-ins.
With book in hand, it is also obvious that the calf spine continues only about 3/4th inch onto the boards.
