History
The Neighborhood Social Club of Delaware County began in 1915 near the town of Manchester. The club was formed so area women could unite and discuss aspects of rural, farm, and family life. The club met once a month and was very involved in community events, fundraising, and volunteering. Club meetings were a major social event for the women where they could work together and become involved in the community, socialize, hold picnics and potlucks for members and their families, and share common interests such as sewing, cooking, crafts, and gardening.
