»History

The National League of American Pen Women, Quad Cities Branch was established in 1976 to serve as an outlet for area women writers to communicate. The group organized scholarship competitions for high school student writers. Individual members entered writing competitions on the state and national level; many received awards. Some of the members of the group published their own works, which ranged from romance novels to dog care books and books on coping with grief.
