The correspondence concerns shipments of goods, outfitting of staff, and administrative affairs in what is now Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Includes references to negotiations with European powers in territorial claims, notes on contemporary political events, community affairs, geographical information, and on the activities of Cecil Rhodes.
